RocketVerifier LLC ("RocketVerifier," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit rocketverifier.com or use our email verification service and API.

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you purchase credits, we collect billing information such as your country and postal code through our payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers.

Verification data

When you submit email addresses for verification, those addresses are processed by our systems to determine deliverability and validity. Results are stored in your account so you can view and download them, for the retention period described in section 3. RocketVerifier never sends an email to the addresses it verifies.

Usage and technical data

We automatically collect technical data including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This helps us improve performance and troubleshoot issues. Website analytics are collected with Clicky in cookieless mode, as described in section 8.

2. How we use your information

To provide and operate the email verification service
To process payments and manage your credit balance
To send transactional emails (verification results, purchase receipts, account notices)
To improve accuracy and performance of our verification algorithms
To respond to support requests and ensure a positive customer experience
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service

3. Data retention

Retention of uploaded lists and verification results is configurable in your account. By default, uploaded lists and their results are deleted automatically after 90 days. You can choose a different retention period, export your data, or delete your account from your account settings at any time.

When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, as set out in our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data or email lists to third parties. We may share data with the following categories of service providers only as necessary to operate our service:

Payment processors: secure processing of credit purchases
Cloud infrastructure: hosting and processing of verification jobs
Analytics tools: aggregated usage statistics, collected without cookies
Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile, which helps protect our free tools from automated abuse

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RocketVerifier, its users, or the public.

5. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
Encrypted storage for sensitive account data. Passwords are hashed, and API keys are shown once and stored securely
Restricted production access, with access controls and audit logging for internal systems
Optional two-factor authentication and session management for your account

While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we are committed to using commercially reasonable means to protect your information. More detail is available on our Security page and in our Trust Center.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: update or correct inaccurate information in your account
Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data
Portability: export your verification history and account data

7. Processing on your behalf

When you upload email addresses for verification, you decide which addresses are processed and why, and RocketVerifier processes them on your behalf as a data processor under the GDPR. If you need a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), email legal@rocketverifier.com. Our GDPR documentation explains how to handle data subject requests for addresses you have verified.

8. Cookies and analytics

We keep cookies to a minimum:

Essential cookies: required for the RocketVerifier application to function correctly (authentication sessions, preferences)
Website analytics: our website uses Clicky in cookieless mode to understand how visitors use the site (for example page views). It does not set analytics cookies in your browser.
Bot protection: our free tools use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people and automated traffic apart. Turnstile may process technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics for this purpose.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

9. Children's privacy

RocketVerifier is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete such data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the application. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
